Bert Ellis’ Brash Entertainment raises $400M in start-up funding
Bert Ellis’ partner is movie producer Thomas Tull, who produced “300″. The company, which is now based in Hollywood, intends to publish of videogames based on movies and other entertainment properties. They have raised $400 million from Abry Partners which led the deal along with New York Life Capital Partners and PPM America. The bare website for Brash Entertainment shows Mitch Davis as the CEO and Chairman of the company. Mitch was formerly with Massive, now owned by Microsoft.

A bit longer Bert Ellis story preceeding where you started. Foresaw the rise of a fourth television network. Formed Ellis Communications. Bought a bunch of television stations. Bought Raycom Sports. Sold the bunch of it to some group in Alabama for over $750 million. The iXL thing. Formed group with Mike McQuary and Bahns Stanley. Have lots of money. Done lots of deals.
